Can gasoline be made from synthetic oil?

Synthetic engine oil has been on the market for years, and it seems to do its job very well - other wise it would no longer be lining the shelves of automotive stores. Is there a reason (beyond political payola) that synthetic oil isn't refined for gasoline? Can gasoline be made from synthetic oil?
No because they burn at a much higher temp, that's how they protect your engine :)Can gasoline be made from synthetic oil?
Yes, but not economical.

But hydrogen-, electrical-, solar-, wind-, tidal-, earthheat-, biomass- and nucleair fusion-solutions are the future energy solutions for cars.
Well no because synthetic oils are man made they are made in a lab with a view to performing a particular duty, synthetic oils are used in relatively small volumes i.e an engine sump which may take a few litres and the oil can last for the life of the car, if this was possible with fuel we would be sorted out for running out of fossil fuel unfortunately such large volumes can not be evn dreamt of, but a top question all the same
Synthetic oil is already ';refined';. There is no gasoline in it. Look at the price of synthetic oil and figure what a gallon of it would cost.
The cost I suspect of manufacture at the moment is WAY higher than making from oil.

Ethanol is a good alternative for gasoline, MOST petrol engines can be modified to use it witout too much drama.
