Can I use 0W-20 synthetic oil in a 2003 Yukon or a 2004 Silverado?

Presently these vehicles are using 5W-30 synthetic oil. I noticed that the Toyota Tundra uses this 0W-20 oil. I just want to know if I can use it in a Chevy Silverado or a GMC Yukon with a 5.3 Engine? Can I use 0W-20 synthetic oil in a 2003 Yukon or a 2004 Silverado?
as long as you keep the oil pressure upCan I use 0W-20 synthetic oil in a 2003 Yukon or a 2004 Silverado?
If you do any kind of hauling or heavy loading or hard acceloration stick with 5w30-10w-40 you will need the extra viscosity to keep the gears, bearings, bushings, and surfaces coated with lubricant and stay smooth rolling under those tough high pressure conditions. 0w20 would be fine in a light weight honda being driven by an elderly, infact you could probibly use olive oil, its up to you how long you want your moving parts to last.
As an Amsoil synthetic lubricants dealer I am happy to see the acceptance of low viscosity oils, but the vehicles you mentioned would be better served with Amsoil SSO 0W-30: http://www.amsoil.com/lit/databulletins/鈥?/a> Amsoil ASM 0W-20 is also available, but not recommended for those engines(some Ford's, Honda's use it, and it replaces SAE 5W-20): http://www.amsoil.com/lit/databulletins/鈥?/a> You can view the full product line at my website: http://www.number1synthetic.com

Also, click Amsoil Online Product Guide to enter your year, make, model, and engine and see what Amsoil lubricants and filters are recommended for your vehicle. The 0W-30 mentioned above will provide the ultimate protection and fuel economy for your engine while extending drain intervals. Good luck!
