Synthetic oil?

Does synthetic oil really improve gas mileage? Does anyone really see results?Synthetic oil?
yes it actually does save gas the less resistance the less harder the engine works which makes it more efficienty also it prevents wear on the motor. You do end up noticing it after awhile most people buy it for protecting the engine and for efficiency/hp than for saving on gas which is very minor gain and at the end youll of had spent more on the oil than the gas in the long run that what you woulda saved from it.Synthetic oil?
Synthetic oil does not significantly increase gas mileage. The main advantage of synthetics is they don't break down as badly as conventional oils, and they leave you engine cleaner over time.
not gas mileage. but its good in the severe weather when you first start the car. the lifters will still be lubricated at the first crank....... this will reduce friction at first crank where most damage could happen.
It absolutey makes a difference! i have a 1990 Isuzu Trooper 4-wheel drive and is still going strong with more than 323,000 miles and i believe it is all becuse i've used only synthetic oil on my car... regular oils require oil change every 3,000 miles, but today's new synthetic oil is good for 15,000 miles! ... the gas mileage improvement is only 1-2 miles more per gallon, but that little gas savings do add up and pay for itself in just 1 year of driving, and additionally, the cost savings of changing oil only once a years instead of 3 or 4 times a year saves big bucks in your wallet again!!! ... PLEASE keep in mind that not all synthetic oils are alike... it has been proven and tested by many racing mechanics that Mobil-1 is probably the best oil a regular consumer can buy on the market from stores such as Walmart or K-Mart at approx $5-6 per quart.
Oil makes no difference on gas mileage, it is simply a lubricant for the internals of the engine.

Driving sensible

correct tire pressure

clean air filter

and a good tune up

Those are the best options for best gas mileage
I can't answer that. All I know is you can do about 10 000 km (sorry about the km) with synthetic (or semi-synthetic) oil and you can do nothing of the sort with other oils. So, at least it's a fact that it's convenient.
