Which synthetic oil etter at cleaning out engine, Mobil1 or Pennzoil?

I am wanting to use a synthetic oil change to clean out my engine, since the wife sometimes goes past the interval to change the oil, and don't want to us an engine flush as I've heard bad things abot them.





I've seen the commercials for Pennzoil showing their's cleans 3X better than other oils, but does it have better/more cleaning detergents than Mobil1?Which synthetic oil etter at cleaning out engine, Mobil1 or Pennzoil?

Pennzoil's claim is ';cleans 3 times better than the leading conventional oil.'; Nevertheless, I have used Pennzoil for 26 years in all my vehicles and have never had one problem. Mobil 1 is good, but is over rated by its exposure to the European market. By the way, there are good engine flushes out there now that are safe (Gumout Engine flush.) These are mineral based as opposed to the solvent based flushes that first hit the market. However, it should only be used in more extreme cases, like going 10,000 miles over recommended interval.
interesting question. synthetic oil is what? a cleaner, an engine life maintainer. IF you're looking for a synthetic oil to clean out your engine, you're too late. cleaning out your engine was something you should have thought about from day one.
mobil 1 would be my choice,dont use syns yet but do use mobil in my daily driver 213,000 miles still runs great
