What is the best Synthetic Oil out there?

Have a 05 Neon SXT with 9950 miles on it. Got it brand new, and since my first oil change, ive used nothing but Castrol Syntec. Just curious if there is anything better out there for my car, and is it too late to make the switch?What is the best Synthetic Oil out there?

Add pennzoil platinum to that list... its a new syn (true synthetic) and is doing really well..... castrol syntec is a hydrocracked petroleum..... while A GREAT OIL! its way overpriced for a oil thats not actually synthetic (they won a legal battle that mobil started, because they said it was unfair because it wasn't a true synthetic)..... should be around 3 bucks...
i think castrol is about the best synthetic out there but if you find one better it is not too late to change brands so long as it is a full synthetic brand.
mobil 1; all brand new supercars and high performance cars (ie mercedes-benz, ferrari, corvette, viper, ford gt ect...) all exclusively recommend mobil 1.
Mobil 1, or Redline or Amsoil, or Royal Purple.


All others types are IMHO,are Junk oils and not worth buying.


And what the other person said that if you start using synthetic oil in your car you have to keep using it. He is full of it !
Its not to late to make the switch. Only thing is once u start with Synthetic Oil. U must continue. But, Castro Is pretty darn good.
