What is the recommendation for using synthetic oil in classic cars?

With the new formulation for oils, is the synthetic better for cars from 1971 , 1959 , and 1992 What is the recommendation for using synthetic oil in classic cars?
Same recommendation as the newer cars, synthetic oil is the best you can get and it won't hurt an older engine at all, it's much better than conventional oil. What is the recommendation for using synthetic oil in classic cars?
The best answer was the one that stated to ask in the auto store where oil is sold. I did. They said if a car has over 100,000 miles, not to use the synthetic because you would have leakage problems from the increased lubricity. Report Abuse

I bought a used Classic in Pennsylvania last week and saved some cash. I haven't had any problems yet. I only buy used cars. http://www.findusedcardealer.com
some cars cannot adapt to the synthetic oils so sometimes the old and the real oils are better. Also some synthetic oils are nixed with ';chemicals'; not good for old cars...

they will have a chart in the place it is sold , just ask to look on it. I dont think it`s recommended for all cars.
For older engines its best to use conventional oil.
there is nothing wrong in using synthetic oil for older cars its the real stuff
