Or should I stick with just one type? Can I alternate synthetic oil with regular oil on oil changes?
yes, you can. the only problems you may encounter would be from the regular oil and regular wear and tear.
i would stick with synthetic, but if you're short on money or on a tight budget, you can switch to regular oil without a problem. Can I alternate synthetic oil with regular oil on oil changes?
Why bother? I can see no advantage at all in doing this.
If price is a concern, simply use a high quality regular oil such as Castrol GTX and change it once in a while.
Consider, minimally maintained cars have routinely been driven well over 100,000 miles for decades on regular motor oil.
Probably better to stick with one type. Why would you want to alternate? Expense? If you want to save money, just use a good quality regular Dino oil and change it regularly. You'll be fine.
Like I said too the last guy with this question Sean, hows' your car going too know?
