What's the difference between regular oil and synthetic oil for cars?

HI I went for Oil Change and they offered me an option fo Regular Oil or Synthetic Oil($20 more). Is synthetic oil really worth it.

btw I have a 2006 corollaWhat's the difference between regular oil and synthetic oil for cars?
If your going to keep your car 10 years, it's worth it. It also extends oil change intervals from 3,000 miles to 7,500 miles per your Toyota warranty (check with your dealer). Synthetic oils have a much wider temperature range so you won't end up sludging up your engine as shown in the reference below. A compromise cost performance trade is ';synblend'; oils which are both conventional petroleum based and synthetic oils. All Ford dealer oil changes are now done using Motorcraft synblend motor oil http://www.motorcraft.com/products.do?it鈥?/a>What's the difference between regular oil and synthetic oil for cars?
Synthetic oil has its benefits and is downside (mainly the cost). The only catch is new cars can run synthetic and older cars that have always been on synthetic can run it. But, if you have an older car and you switch it from conventional to synthetic, you will probably have problems. With a 2006 you should be fine.
yes full synthetic is worth it go with either quaker state or mobil one. i use it in my car
depends on which review you read i was in a mobil station working yrs ago when mogil1 1st went on market it does significantly reduce friction in motor.
